The Purpose of this Blog:
This blog is an attempt to round up all of the companies and technologies that are contained under the phrase “Web 2.0”. This Blog was developed in early 2008.
The Audience:
This blog is aimed for those who just want to learn a bit more, as well as those who already have been using these technologies for some time.
I also have a category for “Education / Technology” where I post information I find in this area, for those interested in using technology for learning.
What is Web 2.0?
The term Web 2.0 refers to the newer technologies that companies and websites are employing to facilitate information sharing, and, collaboration among users. Web 2.0 refers to the second generation of the Web – the development and evolution of web-based communities and hosted services, such as social-networking sites, wikis, blogs, and folksonomies (the practice of categorizing content through tags). It refers to the new ways in which software developers and end-users are using the internet today.
